Glen Mills & Kim Holland.
Glen and Kim have previously operated the successful 4+ star Qualmark rated 'Big Tree Hideaway' at Wainui Beach. They both enjoy meeting, and hosting people from all over the world and sharing what the region has to offer.
Glen is an artist and shows his work at Paul Nache Gallery in Gisborne and Zea You Gallery in Taupo. As well as being represented in many New Zealand Art Collections, Glen has works in collections in London, Belgium, Slovenia, Norway, Germany, New York, California, Canada, Rarotonga, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Glen and Kim also operate a Beekeeping business, called Ridge House Honey.
It is a small business, but they are also training and working with a hapu (an extended Maori family) in the Eastern Bay of Plenty to grow their own sustainable beekeeping business.
You can get to taste some of their yummy honeys with your breakfast, and if you are interested Glen can show you one of the small number of beehives they keep on their property.
Kim has been working in economic development and is now doing consulting and contract work.
You may see our cat, Sylvester lazing around, although she’s a bit shy, she was a stray and once Kim tamed her, she decided to stay
Glen and Kim invite you to share their beautiful home and experience their genuine 'Kiwi' hospitality.
